Illinois Extreme Outfitters

Illinois Extreme Outfitters is family owned and operated and fully licensed in the state of Illinois.

Our farms in Calhoun county Illinois have been managed strictly for trophy class whitetails and wild turkeys for over 20 years. In these years world class whitetails and turkeys have been taken on these farms.

We do things a little different than a lot of Illinois Outfitters.  We have found that by allowing our hunters the freedom to make their own decisions during their hunt, they feel more a part of their own hunt and a enjoy a high success rate on trophy bucks.  We are available during DIY or semi-guided weeks to help you plan a successful hunt as well.  Our semi-guided or DIY hunts are conducted on some of the most highly managed farms in west central Illinois.  All of our farms are located in northern Calhoun county, just a few miles from famed Pike county.  Some say the deer herd is better in Calhoun than Pike due to less pressure from outfitters or hunters.

On DIY hunts, we provide lodging, detailed maps of all hunting property to be used by you or your group for your week, and field help with your deer.  We have a cold storage facility as well as a processing area for your use to prepare your animal for travel.  We also have a lease program for offroad electric carts should you choose to want to use one during your hunt.

Our professional guides and owners have over 100 years combined experience taking the game you are searching for.  We are a very small outfitter by design. We hunt only a very limited number of hunters each season to keep the pressure down and success rates up.  With the diversity of our farms and close proximity to each other, hunters can choose to move areas should they not be seeing the caliber of deer they came to IL for.

We hunt trophy whitetails and wild turkeys 100% fair chase.

We have no trophy fees.  We do have a 140” B&C gross requirement for harvest on most of our farms.  We also have 150” B&C gross minimum farms.   The minimums are developed from years of studying the deer herd in our areas.  Many 2.5 year old bucks in our area will meet the 140” B&C minimum.
